African jewelry offers a fascinating choice of bracelets, necklaces and more.

African jewelry started its journey from simple beads, some 75,000 years ago, according to recent archeological discoveries. Not only would this be the beginning of jewelry making in Africa, but probably in all human history.

Those early beads were made from eggs and other simple materials.

In the course of time, the use of precious and semi-precious stones and metals became popular. Turquoise, ruby, sapphire, lapus lazuli, and bronze, copper and gold are amongst the more common materials.
